COMPETITION ENTRIES
Please remember to organise your entries in time. Closing dates refer to the date entries need to be with Head Office. Beforehand they have to be given firstly to your club secretary and secondly to your regional secretary. Allow at least three weeks prior to closing dates to arrange entries. After all your club and regional secretaries are competitors too.

MIDLANDS LEAGUE TABLE

Hi All,
You'll have seen my texts re the Midlands League table
- It's an effort to encourage RC members to attend and
accumulate points on a yearly basis for showjumping -
a bit like the SJAI, or SHOWJUMPING IRELAND as it's
known now! It's something I’m interested in having
just joined SJI and can see the value of having points
listed against our horses. This is something we can
certify at the end of the year should any of you need
it if selling your horse, e.g. say Dobbins
accumulated 25 points showjumping in the Midlands
League table in 2008n - worth something I'd imagine.
The points will go from 1st to 6th, and one point will
be awarded for a clear round that might not be placed
in a jump-off, e.g. 7 for 1st, 6 for 2nd, 5 for 3rd, 4
for 4th, 3 for 5th, 2 for 6th and 1 for a clear.
The table will be posted on our Midlands website,
www.midlandsregionairc.page.tl, which is a very
informative site updated constantly by our Midlands
PRO, Jacqueline Magennis. If you have any snippets of
news, photos or info of any kind, Jacqueline is
delighted to publish it, and you'll find regional
competitions, closing dates etc listed on this site.
Any queries please come back to me, and if you're out
there competing and are placed do let your Secretary
know quick as then she'll forward me results and
placings from National Events will also be included,
e.g.
the National SJ Championships, Festival, etc.
If you have any further ideas re this or any other
scheme do let me know. UP THE MIDLANDS!
